Girls Robbed at Gunpoint

Sheriff detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying three men who robbed three Montrose women at gun point early Friday morning.

The women, all in their late teens, were returning from Hollywood at 3:40 a.m.

“They pulled into their driveway (in the 2400 block of Florencita Avenue) and three male blacks ran to them,” said Det. Frank Diana.

All three men had guns, Diana said.

“They [allegedly] said ‘Give me everything or we will kill you,’” he said.

According to the sheriff report, one of the girls was standing at the trunk of the car when the first suspect rushed up with a gun.

At the same time the second suspect pointed a gun at the driver’s head, the passenger opened the door after hearing her friend yell and was faced with the third suspect, also with a gun.

The girls handed the men their purses and cellphones, and the men drove off.

A few hours later, at 5:30 a.m., the suspects apparently attempted to use one of the victim’s credit cards in South Central Los Angeles.

Detectives suspect the men followed the women from the Hollywood hookah bar they had been attending earlier.

The suspects are described as three black men between 20 and 25 years old, 6 feet, 200 pounds with shaved heads.

They were seen getting into a vehicle described as a dark, Chevy four-door sedan. It had a red Chevrolet emblem on the back of the vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the CV Sheriff’s Station at (818) 248-3464.
