Local YMCA Swimmers Record Times in the Top 10 in the Nation

The Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA Swim Team has three members who recorded times fast enough to earn spots in the national top 10 rankings. Samuel Jo, 12, Harrison Thai, 15, and Fred Abramyan, 16, all have their names inked in the USA Swimming National Magazine for their 2010 record times.

Samuel Jo recorded a time of 2:13:62 in the 200 yard individual medley which
gave him the ninth best time
in the nation for his age
group.

Harrison Thai earned a spot in the national rankings for three different events.  His 59:41 time in the 100 yard breast stroke earned him ninth in the nation. His time of 2:07:74 in the 200 yard breast stroke was good enough for seventh in the nation. Lastly, his 200 yard individual medley time of 1:54:26 was the third fastest time in the nation for his age group.

Fred Abramyan recorded a time of 21:08 seconds in
the 50m freestyle, which
gave him the eight fastest
time in the nation. He also recorded a 57:77 100 yard breast stroke time that was
the tenth best time in the nation.
