All Souls’ Lantern Festival
On Nov. 3 at 6 p.m., St. George’s is offering a special outdoor service of remembrance honoring the lives of family and friends whom we love and see no longer. Those attending are invited to bring pictures to be placed next to candles on the lawn that are then marked by colored lanterns adorned with names of individuals to be remembered.
This simple yet personal event recalls and remembers important people in our lives celebrating generations of people who helped forge a path of who we are today.
It is a good idea to arrive early to place pictures and decorate lanterns provided by the church. After the ceremony, which takes approximately 30 minutes, a wine and cheese reception will follow.
St. George’s is located at 808 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada. For questions, contact The Rev. Anthony Keller at (818) 790-3323 or email: office@saintglc.org.
