Deputies Arrest Male with Gun and Narcotics at Hahamonga Park

Deputies at Crescenta Valley Station have been on the lookout for a male who had brandished a firearm on Tuesday near Berkshire Place and Berkshire Avenue. On Wednesday at about 11 a.m., a similarly described suspect committed a battery at a fast food restaurant at the 400 block of Foothill Boulevard.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., La Cañada Flintridge Community Service Officer Viteri observed a vehicle matching the description parked in the upper parking lot of Hahamonga Park, near Foothill Boulevard and Oak Grove Drive. CSO Viteri notified deputies of the vehicle. Patrol units, including a reserve deputy, responded to the location and safely detained the suspect. In the suspect’s vehicle, a handgun and narcotics were located. Detectives from Crescenta Valley Station are investigating any link between the suspect and the recent crimes.
