September 13
100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, tools were stolen from the exterior of the auditorium at La Cañada High School sometime between Sept. 9 and 13.
September 12
100 block of Foothill Boulevard and La Cañada, copper piping was cut and stolen along with four valves from the exterior of the auditorium at La Cañada High School sometime between Sept. 10 and 12.
September 10
Ramsdell and Encinal avenues in La Crescenta, while playing basketball at the outside court at Crescenta Valley High School a man reported witnessing a young man, later identified as a 16-year-old Glendale boy, near his gym bag. He later discovered his car keys missing from the bag. He went out to Ramsdell Avenue and noticed the lights of his car flashing via a key remote. He went to his car and allegedly discovered 16-year-old rummaging through his vehicle. Deputies were called,the boy was arrested for vehicle burglary at 8:15 p.m.
2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, several walls at Crescenta Valley High School were vandalized with graffiti overnight.
September 9
2400 block Cross Street in La Crescenta, a witness reported hearing his neighbor’s dogs bark loudly. He looked over the neighbor’s fence and noticed a man standing at the back door. The man entered the back door and the witness called deputies. When deputies arrived the man had left. The owner of the house was contacted but could not verify that anything was stolen. The incident happened between 1:50 p.m. and 2:05 p.m.
September 6
4400 block of Oak Grove Drive in La Cañada, two juveniles, 14 and 17-year-old boys both from La Crescenta were attested for vandalized after a deputy allegedly witnessed the two throwing a metal garbage can off the second floor at La Cañada High School. Deputies also discovered a concrete garbage can broken into several pieces and concrete steps damaged. The two juveniles reportedly denied damaging the concrete pieces but admitted to throwing the metal can. The arrest was made at 4:30 p.m.
September 4
Sport Chalet Drive in La Cañada, two juveniles, 13 and 15 years old boys both from La Crescenta were arrested for reportedly walking out of Sport Chalet with air soft guns, bb’s, headphones and batteries without attempting to pay for the items. One of the boys allegedly told the deputy he went to Sport Chalet specifically to take the gun and did not intend to pay for it. He had to replace a friend’s gun he had previously broken. The arrest was made at 1:18 p.m.
