GUSD High Schools Rank Among Nation’s Best

All four GUSD comprehensive high schools rank among the nation’s best according to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 Best High Schools ranking.

Crescenta Valley, Clark Magnet, Hoover, and Glendale high schools earned silver medals, ranking in the top 12% of high schools nationally. Crescenta Valley High ranked in the top 3%, Clark Magnet High in the top 4%, Hoover High in the top 10%, and Glendale High in the top 12% nationally.

According to U.S. News & World Report rankings methodology, “gold and silver awards reflect which schools are most successfully preparing students for college, based on students participating in and achieving passing scores on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests. For a school to be eligible for a gold or silver medal, its students must also do well on the appropriate statewide tests and graduate at high rates.”

“GUSD is a dynamic, high performing school district. Our talented teachers, classified staff, and administrators work tirelessly alongside our parents and community to provide an exceptional education for every student,” said GUSD Superintendent Winfred B. Roberson Jr. “No matter which GUSD school our students attend, they are sure to receive a top-tier education that prepares them for a bright future.”
