March 4
2700 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a 51-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman both from Los Angeles were arrested for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia after a routine traffic stop at 12:39 a.m.

March 2
1300 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the front door of a business was vandalized with graffiti scratched into a portion of the door overnight.

Feb. 28
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee reported seeing two suspects described as Hispanic and both 18 years old. One suspect was 5’6” tall and 165 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as 5’3” tall, weighing 145 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and also wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans. Both men had taken cases of beer and walked out of the store without attempting to pay. They reportedly got into a vehicle described as a newer black pickup truck that had been lifted.
The theft occurred at 10:34 p.m.

Feb. 27
3900 block of Park Place in Montrose, a resident returned to her home and found the screen had been taken off a window and the window open. The resident could not find anything missing but did find ibuprofen pills in the sink that had not been there previously.
The incident occurred between 4:45 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

1500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, patio furniture was stolen from behind a metal gate at a business overnight.

Feb. 17
2200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an employee witnessed a woman walking out of a store with Easter decorations and trays without attempting to pay for the items. The woman got into a black Ford Expedition and drove away. She returned again later that week and stole similar items.
The initial theft occurred at 12:30 p.m.

Feb. 12
1200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a stained glass window was broken in an isolated area of a church between Jan. 1 and Feb. 12.

Jan. 17
2700 block of Community Avenue in Montrose, a resident reported that her dog began barking outside. She walked to the outside of her home and saw a dark colored car parked on the street across from her home. She witnessed a male black wearing a dark green sweatshirt sitting on the driver’s side of a vehicle and a female black walking up and down the street apparently talking on her cellphone. The resident went back into her home and sat at her computer table. She once again heard her dog barking at something, this time inside her home. She looked over toward the doorway that led to the upstairs of her home. She reportedly saw an arm with dark green clothing reaching for the doorknob, which was located in the interior of the home. She feels the suspect may have seen her because he immediately exited the back door of her home. She thinks the suspect entered her home via the back door. The resident did not call 9-1-1, or report the incident to the sheriff’s department at the time of the incident.
The following morning she told her husband of the incident and later discovered there was another incident near their home that was a burglary/attempted rape. The attempted burglary on Community Avenue occurred at 4:45 a.m.
