The Crescenta Valley Community Association is hosting a candidate forum this Friday, Feb. 25 for those running for Glendale City Council. The event begins at 7 p.m. and takes place at the Dunsmore Park Community Room, 4700 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta.
According to organizer Mike Lawler, the purpose of the forum is to familiarize North Glendale residents with each candidate and to give them a platform in which to present their position on issues.
The candidates running for Glendale City Council are Dave Weaver, Rafi Manoukian, Garen Mailyan, Mike Mohill, Chahe Keuroghelian and John Drayman.
The CVCA is hosting a forum on March 4, also at Dunsmore Park, for candidates running for the Glendale Unified School District board of education. Those candidates are Mary Boger, Vahik Satoorian, Todd Hunt, Nayiri Nahabedian, Daniel Cabrera, Ingrid Gunnell, Jennifer Freemon and Ami Fox.
