The City of La Cañada Flintridge invites interested La Cañada Flintridge residents to submit applications for service on the Planning and Public Works & Traffic Commissions.

The following vacancies will occur effective March 16:

Planning Commission: One (1) term expiring May 31, 2016

The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. This Commission reviews proposed residential and commercial development projects, subdivisions and uses of land to determine their compliance with applicable City zoning, General Plan and building laws.

Public Works and Traffic Commission: One (1) term expiring May 31, 2016

The Public Works and Traffic Commission meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. This Commission advises and makes recommendations to the LCF City Council on the public works program, maintenance requirements on publicly owned property and traffic-related issues.

Residents interested in serving on either of these Commissions may obtain an application from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 1327 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada Flintridge or online at www.lcf.ca.gov.

The deadline for filing applications is Monday, April 6 at 5 p.m. It is anticipated that the city council will conduct brief interviews of applicants and will make appointments at their regular meeting to be held on May 18.
