Plan for Tree Lighting Ceremony

La Cañada Girl Scouts will be hosting the 23rd Annual Glenola Tree Lighting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 6. The event will begin at 6:15 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. and will feature various Girl Scout troops singing holiday carols emceed by the La Cañada City mayor and leading up to the illumination of the Glenola Christmas Tree. Members of the City Council, local businesses, the Kiwanis Club, Friends of Glenola Park and the fire and the sheriff stations will take part in starting the holiday season. 

Glenola Park is located at 5200 Angeles Crest Hwy, La Cañada Flintridge.

Holiday Poinsettia Sale

A holiday poinsettia sale supports the La Cañada High School Instrumental Music program.

Brighten up your home this holiday season with premium, farm-fresh poinsettias! All proceeds benefit the LCHS Instrumental Music program. Red poinsettias are in 6 ½” foil-wrapped pots and make perfect holiday gifts, hostess gifts, home and office decorations.

Pick up at LCHS (Oak Grove parking lot ¬– senior/band lot – on Foothill at Oak Grove) or home delivery option available (in La Cañada only) for $10. Poinsettias are $12 each ($6 per plant tax deductible). Pick up/delivery date is Thursday, Dec. 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
