We hope everyone was able to enjoy a nice long weekend! If you celebrated Thanksgiving, then we hope you had a great feast with family and friends. Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it is officially time to exercise our Christmas spirit. That’s right – December is officially here which means the end of the year is approaching quickly. Although the winter weather has not yet settled in, it is time to put those lights and decorations up. However, before we can say “Happy New Year!” we have a few events to celebrate this month at the chamber. Although last month we did not have a mixer, this month our schedule is back on.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11 we have a business mixer from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crescenta Valley Flower Mart (also known as Crescenta Valley Flowers) at 2900 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta. This is a family owned business that has been servicing the Crescenta Valley community for almost 25 years. This is the place to get what you need for any event. Whether it is a small get together, your wedding day, or a grand holiday party, Crescenta Valley Flowers is there to help make it perfect. They even offer same day delivery to most of the La Crescenta and surrounding areas.

Crescenta Valley Flowers has a grand selection of fresh flowers for all arrangement styles. Owner Sarah Yegiazaryan, a graduate from UC Irvine in design, painting and sculpture, has a great passion for custom design arrangements. She will help bring your vision to life. Sarah appreciates the use of different textures and ideas, and executes them wonderfully with great attention to every detail. Give her an opportunity to design for your next event and you will not be disappointed. For your upcoming special occasion, feel free to contact Crescenta Valley Flowers at (818) 957-2631 or visit their website at www.cvflowermart.com.

If you are a chamber member or thinking of joining the chamber, this is a great opportunity to check us out as well. The mixer will be two hours of networking, raffle drawings, refreshments and fun! We also welcome new members with a plaque and have the opportunity to hear what their business is all about. There will be a chance for current members to make announcements about anything new coming up, too.

Join us on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m.

More items coming up…

This week, on Friday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. is a ribbon cutting for Fringe Hair Studio. Join us as we welcome the new hair styling team to the chamber and celebrate them as a member of our community. Fringe is located at 3536 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta, southeast of Dunsmore Avenue. You will have the opportunity to meet the stylists and see the studio, all while enjoying some light refreshments.

Montrose Christmas Parade is coming up on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. It will begin at Honolulu Avenue and Rosemont Avenue and run east to Verdugo Road.

For more details or other events taking place, please contact us at the chamber office Monday thru Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at (818) 248-4957 or visit our website at crescentavalleychamber.org.
