Ameriprise hosting seminar on Social Security

The Glendale office of Ameriprise Financial Service, Inc., America’s leading financial planning firm, is hosting a seminar on Social Security and Medicare benefits on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 5:30 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to address concerns about a very important health benefit. Representatives are presenting the seminar from the Social Security Administration and The Center for Health Care Rights.
According to Brandon Jenkins, CFP®, CRPC®, AAMS® and branch manager, the year of birth and age when one starts taking Social Security benefits directly affects the amount received. For example, those born between 1943 and 1954 and choose to start receiving benefits at age 62 would receive only 75% of benefits. However, by waiting until age 70, those benefits increase to 132%.
Ameriprise is a Fortune 300 company with a 115-year history. It is in the business of helping clients make retirement money last. For more information about the seminar, call (818) 549-1600. There is no cost to attend.
