Thank You, Crescenta Valley!

Hello, CV Weekly readers! First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who came out to CV Park on Saturday, April 27 to help make the 14th Annual Hometown Country Fair a huge success! Many local families joined us for an entire day of entertainment, activities and fun! Many smiling little faces could be found all afternoon from the petting zoo to the jumpers and even some that were being painted. The chamber would also like to thank all of our sponsors including: USC/Verdugo Hills Hospital, LA County Parks and Recreation, J’s Maids, County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Valley Automotive Group (which sponsored the car show), Bonner’s Party Rentals, Bob Smith Toyota, Assemblymember Laura Friedman, Gelsinger’s and our very own CV Weekly.

Finally, we would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers. Without the time and attention from each of you this event would not be possible. We are very fortunate to have the support of a wide range of community members interested in giving back. From the American Legion veterans to Verdugo Hills Council Boy Scouts, as well as Prom Plus and the La Crescenta Woman’s Club, we are exceedingly grateful to each of you for all of your efforts. See you all next April!      

We are very excited to announce our poker night on Friday, May 31 at USC/Verdugo Hills Hospital in the fourth floor conference room. Entry donations go for $100 and include food, drinks and $3,000 in chips. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the tournament is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. To receive an extra $1,000 in chips, pre-register online at the chamber website (www.crescentavalleychamber.org/poker). Towards the end of June we will be holding our annual golf tournament on Friday, June 21 at Scholl Canyon Golf Course at 7 a.m. We are currently accepting entries and just like last year they go for $125 per individual and $440 for a foursome.  Your entry includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, one bucket of range balls, goodie bag, refreshments on the course as well as a continental breakfast and steak and salmon lunch! Sponsorship opportunities are available and range from tee sponsorship that include a tee sign at one hole to a major sponsor of the event, which includes many more promotional opportunities, having your banner displayed at the event and your logo on all golf carts, and entry of one foursome in the tournament.
