Welcoming the New Year with New Officers and New Members

Hello, CV Weekly readers! Hope you all had a happy and safe holiday season! First, I would like to remind everyone about the upcoming CV Chamber Installation luncheon when we take an afternoon to install new officers, show our appreciation for those leaving their posts as well as distribute grants from the Mary Pinola Education Endowment Fund. This year’s installation will be held at Oakmont Country Club on Thursday, Jan. 10. We have a few new members we are very excited to introduce this year. From Coldwell Banker Residential real estate we would like to introduce Lisa Foster.

Lisa heard about the Chamber from our outgoing vice president Dwight Sityar and has been regularly attending our monthly business mixers since the summer. She also keeps busy working on her publication CV Life Magazine and the website cvlifemagazine.com, which explores lifestyle in the Crescenta Valley. Welcome, Lisa, on behalf of the board of directors we are happy that you chose to be a part of the CV Chamber! Our newest member is the owner and operator of Crescenta Valley Flooring, Vahan Avetisyan. Vahan has been in the flooring business for over 15 years and got his start installing floors for restoration and insurance companies. Vahan credits this experience when speaking of his team’s level of efficiency and professionalism. He says that working up to the standard of companies with a reputation to protect taught him and his team the right way to do the job. The new location at 3061 Foothill Blvd. is the first physical store that Vahan has owned and he says that the idea of opening a store came to fruition must faster than he expected. It sounds like the reputation that he has established through years of hard work and customer service precedes him!  Welcome, Vahan! The Chamber wishes you success and looks forward to many years of working together!

The next big chamber event is the Annual Smart-A-Thon scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. As usual, we will be holding the pre-smart mixer on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. Once again Bob Smith Toyota has generously offered to host the event in their beautiful showroom located at 3333 Foothill Blvd. We hope to see you all there!
