FGCH Plans Heart Luncheon

Pictured from left are luncheon chairs Patti Kriste, Delia Cotter and Savonia Angelica; Guild President Kimberly Kessler; and workshop hostess Laura Buchanan.

This year the Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital celebrates 70 years of support for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Festivities will begin on Thursday, Nov. 14 with the Guild’s Thankful Heart Luncheon. Held at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, a diamond sponsor of the event, the Guild will honor past presidents for their leadership and commitment to transforming the lives of children treated at the hospital. Each of these exceptional women exemplifies the Guild’s mission of dedication and service to the hospital.

In the setting of this historic hotel, participants will enjoy lunch and inspiring speakers. In addition, 24 vendors will tempt guests with a wide range of upscale products for holiday gifts or personal indulgence. Merchandise includes custom sandals (made on-site), high-end women’s clothing, handbags, jewelry and accessories, children’s clothing, stationery, monogrammed gift items and much more. The Guild’s signature Sweet Shoppe will again offer mouthwatering confections and many new items, including lovely boxed floral arrangements, chic handmade trays, serving paddles and shot glass trays that can be personalized on-site.

All proceeds from this event benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.  Acknowledged worldwide for its leadership in pediatric and adolescent health, the hospital relies on the community to support its groundbreaking research and the complex care it provides. The hospital significantly impacts local communities, too. Last year Children’s Hospital Los Angeles treated 1,454 children from La Cañada Flintridge.
