Three Celebrate Earning Master’s
Local teachers are celebrating graduating from USC’s online master’s program.
Samrah Ahmed of La Crescenta received a degree in science; Erica Schillinger of Glendale received a master’s in English and Laurie Woods, also of Glendale, achieved multiple degrees.

Bowdoin Honors Students

Bowdoin College held its annual Honors Day ceremony on May 11 recognizing students for their achievements. Among those honored were Caitlin Clerkin of La Cañada who is a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 2011. Clerkin has been awarded the Nathan Goold Prize. Clerkin is majoring in classical archaeology and minoring in Film Studies, and is a graduate of La Cañada High School.
Also from La Cañada is Katharine Doubleday who was awarded the Copeland-Gross Biology Prize/William H. Moody ’56 Award. Doubleday, majoring in biology and minoring in English, is also a graduate of La Cañada High School.
Bowdoin College is a highly selective liberal arts college located in Brunswick, Maine about 25 miles north of Portland.
