April 21
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a handicap parking sign was vandalized with “gang tagging” graffiti. Surveillance footage is being viewed and the investigation is ongoing. The vandalism occurred at 5:35 p.m.

 

April 19
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a man was at Ralphs market at the self-check-out area. While he was completing his order, he placed his Derek Jeter baseball glove on top of the register. He grabbed his groceries and walked out forgetting the glove until he arrived home. He went back to Ralphs but the glove was not there. He was able to view the surveillance footage and witnessed three males behind him in line at the self-check-out. When he walked out, the first male walked up to the check-out register. He completed his order, then took his groceries and grabbed the glove. He and his friends walked out of the store with the stolen property; the investigation is ongoing.
The theft occurred at 6:57 p.m.

 

April 17
1800 block of Fairmount Avenue in La Cañada, a black bag, flashlight, keys and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m.

4800 block of Tocaloma Lane in La Cañada, a resident reported that, while reviewing his surveillance system footage, he witnessed a man, described as having short hair, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and long pants who appeared to have part of his face covered with an unknown piece of clothing, attempt to enter his locked vehicle at 3:10 a.m.

400 block of Berkshire Place in La Cañada, a person/persons cut a chain that secured a gate at a home under construction and then broke plywood that was securing an unlocked door. Several boxes of wood flooring were stolen overnight.

1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man reported that he arrived at his gym and put his wallet with personal information including credit cards in a locker and placed a combination lock to secure it. When he returned, the lock from his locker was gone as was his wallet between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

April 16
2600 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, personal items were stolen and the interior of a locked car was ransacked at 2 a.m.
