Jan. 20
2500 block of Montrose Avenue in La Crescenta, an 18-year-old Glendale man was arrested for possession of a forged state seal. The man was stopped as he was driving his vehicle in the area. The vehicle had paper license plates and no visible registration. After an investigation it was discovered the driver was on active probation. Upon further investigation a deputy found the man with a forged California driver’s license with a forged California State seal. The arrest was made at 9:12 p.m.

 

Jan. 18
2300 block of Mira Vista Avenue in La Crescenta, a laptop computer, headphones, a cellphone and adaptors were stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

 

Jan. 17
2200 block of Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, sunglasses and a California identification card were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

Jan. 16
5400 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a woman reported that she and her husband arrived at home and pulled her car into the driveway. She pushed the button to release the trunk and the couple walked toward the back of the car. She then reportedly saw two men run up to them who then stole items out of the trunk. They then ran down the street, got into a vehicle and drove away.
The theft occurred at 7 p.m.

 

Jan. 11
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada, a woman reported leaving her purse on a shelf at Anytime Fitness. When she returned, she discovered her wallet had been stolen. She contacted the manager who reviewed the surveillance video. He reportedly saw a man steal the wallet from the purse; he recognized the man as a member of the gym. The manager contacted the woman and gave her the man’s information. She phoned the number the man had given and reportedly talked to the man’s mother, who alleged said he had a drug issue. The mother said she would attempt to find her son and make him return the stolen property. The woman then reported the incident to the CV Sheriff’s Station.
The theft occurred between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

 

5000 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, a person reported that someone had entered her home through a window and stole several items of jewelry between 9:30 a.m. and 10:55 a.m.
