A morning evacuation alert for Chevy Chase Canyon residents raised alarm throughout the Crescenta Valley when many area residents also received the alert. However, according to Glendale police chief Carl Povilaitis, the alert was just part of an evacuation drill in the Chevy Chase Canyon area.
