Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies from the Crescenta Valley Station responded to a burglary call at 6:42 p.m. on July 24 in the 4600 block of El Camino Corto.
A resident had returned home and saw the suspect inside the residence. She contacted the CV Sheriff’s Station and deputies responded.
“The rear door [to the home] was smashed and the male suspect was inside when deputies arrived,” said Sgt. John Gilbert.
Deputies detained the suspect without incident.
The suspect had moved the resident’s vehicle out of the garage and parked it on the street. He then moved his vehicle into the driveway. When deputies approached him he told them he was the actual resident at the location.
He was not and was arrested.
