Hajira (Begum) Ahmed passed away in La Crescenta on May 10. Hajira was born in Mysore, India on July 15, 1937. She lived in many places including Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Washington D.C.; Prairie Village/Overland Park, Kansas; Brea, California; and La Crescenta, California. She earned a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Mysore, India and had multiple careers as mother, banking loan officer and apartment manager. She is survived by her four children and four grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and most remembered for her caring, loving spirit, and generosity toward others.
