An Open Letter to the Montrose Shopping Park Association
Are you in danger of losing your business? Are you operating at reduced capacity? Are you waiting for a government loan or an unemployment check? Did you lay off some or all of your employees?
Did you spend – or waste – thousands of dollars on furnishings for outdoor dining?
On Nov. 6, 2020 Governor Gavin Newsom and his party of 22 (including lobbyists) dined indoors at the posh French Laundry in Napa Valley. The bill alone was a reported whopping $15,000.
The following day, San Francisco Mayor London Breed – who pays lip service to the plight of immigrants and minorities – noshed with Nob Hill-ers (including the wife of a hotel developer) at the tony establishment. No word on the bar tab.
While you waited for government loans or unemployment checks that went to gang members and state prisoners, the owner(s) of the French Laundry reportedly received $2.5 million in government loans. Would the kings and queens of California deign to offer a few crowns to the peasants in Montrose?
Well, you could become lobbyists, cultivate warm and fuzzy relationships with the governor and, with luck, score reservations for dinner (may I suggest the caviar?) at the French Laundry.
Or you could download a petition to recall Governor Gavin Newsom at recallgavin2020.com.
