The La Crescenta CSA 11U All Stars baseball team took second place out of 15 teams playing Memorial weekend in the 24th Annual Irvine PONY Memorial Day Tournament. Billed as the largest baseball tournament in the United States, there were over 300 teams competing in more than 400 games with teams from all over Southern California and Mexico.

To get to the championship game, the CSA 11U team beat the La Cañada Bronco 11U team 12-2 and the Covina Red Baseball Club 14-1 on Saturday and then beat the Orange County Rebels 8-1 on Sunday morning. CSA then overcame the Mexico Palomares 17-0 in a rousing Sunday afternoon game where the boys exchanged hats and pins with their international rivals. In the semi-final game on Monday morning, CSA once again beat the Orange County Rebels with a 5-3 win to advance to the final matchup.

CSA battled the Orange County Boltz with a back and forth score in the championship game with the Boltz pulling ahead for the win 7-4.
