LCIF Offering Trunk or Treat
A Halloween tradition returns to Lutheran Church in the Foothills
(LCIF) this Sunday, Oc. 18. Trunk or Treat will be held in the church’s parking lot from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The annual community event is a safe, daytime opportunity for kids to wear their Halloween costumes and trick or treat among decorated car trunks. There will be games, plenty of treats and a bounce house. Everyone is also welcome to attend LCIF’s 10 a.m. worship service before the event, led by Pastor Viv Vega.
In addition, LCIF invites the community to participate in its Grace-Giving drive through Nov. 22. The church is collecting pantry staples such as canned goods, dry legumes, nut butters, dry pasta, boxed stuffing mix, canned gravy or cranberry sauce, vegetable or olive oil and sugar. Hygiene products are also needed including feminine products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and diapers of any size. Donations can be placed on the altar for a blessing during Sunday worship at 10 a.m. Alternatively, items can be dropped off at the
church office and LCIF will make sure they get to the altar for the Sunday blessing. Donated items will help those in need this Thanksgiving holiday.
For more information on all church events, or to receive pastoral care, visit lcifoothills.org, email office@lcifoothills.org or call (818) 790-1951. The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
