LCPC Parent Education will kick off its 48^th year with classes beginning Sept. 8 – 10 – and space is still available in some classes. 

The program continues its legacy of providing quality parenting classes led by reputable staff.

This year, LCPC Parent Ed is offering 16 daytime classes that run weekly from September through May. Additionally, Parent Express, The Art of Fatherhood (September and April) and The Art of Marriage (October and February) will be offered in four-week sessions. The Art of Fatherhood began on Sept. 9 in the evening and is offered for fathers of children of all ages and stages. This year, LCPC Parent Ed has added two new classes: Parents of Pre-Kindergarteners, taught by Suzette McGonigl, and Parents of Upper Elementary (third-fifth grades), taught by Teresa Chiu. 

In preparation for the new program year, a welcome tea for all staff, board and ministry support team (MST) members was held on Sept. 1 at the home of Ashley Barrett. This year’s LCPC Parent Ed team includes respected staff members Anne Bierling (executive director), Maria Armstrong, Betty Bredemann, Nanette Brown, Teresa Chiu, Hayley Dziak, Heather Ehrhart, Paula Giboney, Jennifer Gordon, Jenn Kliewer, Daniela Kim, Krissy King, Sharon Lin, Cathy Lukesh, Ellen Mackle, Amy Malyan, Suzette McGonigal, Sarah Montes, Vicki Rekedal, Katy Riddell, Jan Roberts, Beth Shupper, Tracy Tobias, Jana Van Dyck and Sloan Walsh. Art of Fatherhood features Matt Allen, Robert Cha, Ron Chiu, Greg Cook, David Lamb and Paul Song. The team is supported by a dedicated board: Amanda Andres, Ashley Barrett (board chair), Jane Cho, Amanda D’alfonso, Lauren Gallidoro, Jennifer Kohorst, Leslie Monro, Aileen Ng, Ellie Richardson, Susan Rossi, Ruth Tedmori and Sarah Vincenti; as well as the MST made up of Lynne Graves (chair), Ashley Barrett, Melanie Frey, Katrina Harbers and Kathy Kovalcik.
