Back to school time comes with a special service at Lutheran Church in the Foothills. This Sunday, Sept. 10, students, teachers, coaches and staff are invited to receive a special blessing during the 10 a.m. worship service with Pastor Rick Hall. Items collected through the church’s school supply drive will be blessed as well. Following the service all are welcome to help assemble school supply kits with the donated items from LCIF’s collection drive. This is part of the church’s annual “God’s Work. Our Hands” day of service event. The school supply kits will be distributed to children in need.
LCIF continues to collect donations for victims of the Maui wildfire disaster. LCIF will match monetary donations from the congregation up to $500 and will direct the funds to the Pacifica Synod for distribution to wildfire victims in Hawaii. LCIF’s weekly 10 a.m. Sunday worship is held in person and online through the church’s YouTube channel. A live stream is provided and past recordings can be found on the YouTube channel as well. The link to the channel can be found at lcifoothills.org.
