La Cañada Presbyterian Church (LCPC) Parent Ed held it 2nd Annual Diaper and Wipe Drive benefitting Pasadena YoungLives, part of Pasadena YoungLife, from April and into May. Over three weeks, LCPC Parent Ed collected physical and online donations of diapers and wipes, ultimately collecting 2400 diapers, 106 packs of wipes, books and literary resources from the Eriksine Compassion Fund and $500 in Visa gift cards for teen mothers in Pasadena. This exceeded last year’s diaper donation numbers by 400! This year’s donation drive was organized by Heather Adamick, the Community Outreach chair of the LCPC Parent Ed Board, in partnership with Stephanie Porter, the Pasadena Area director of YoungLife.
“Thank you so much for your incredible care and generosity. Your support is a true extension of God’s love and we are so grateful for these contributions,” said Porter at the donation pickup.
YoungLives is an extension of YoungLife Pasadena and offers support to teen moms and dads navigating parenthood with a focus on unconditional love and encouraging them to become the men and women, and fathers and mothers, God created them to be.
LCPC Parent Ed Registration is open online for summer and fall classes. To learn more visit https://lcpcparented.org or call (818) 790-6708 x 205.
