A memorial service for Michael Ridlen will be held on June 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Healy Hall, Holy Redeemer Church at 2411 Montrose Ave. in Montrose.
Michael, 62, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20 while visiting his son in Las Vegas.
He was born Jan. 31 in La Crescenta and was a lifelong area resident. Michael graduated from Crescenta Valley High School in 1968 where he met his wife of 40 years, Mary Eunice. After graduation Michael enlisted in the Navy and served on the submarine USS TANG II He was employed as a Cable Splicer with Pacific Bell for 27½ years.
He is survived by his wife Mary Eunice Ridlen; his sons Jonathan and Thomas Ridlen; his mother Marian Ridlen; his brother Craig Ridlen; his daughter-in-law Frankie Ridlen; the apple of his eye, granddaughter Andie Rose Ridlen and numerous aunts, uncles, sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Ridlen and his brother Joseph Ridlen Jr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Michael to the USC Organ Transplant Center. A box for the USC donations will be at the service.
