Good Health & Wellbeing for All at the YMCA of the Foothills

Emily Gonzalez has been coming to the YMCA of the Foothills since before she can remember. As a young child, she remembers floating on her mother’s chest before learning to swim at the Y. In middle school, her parents enrolled her in the co-ed youth basketball program. She got to learn the sport by playing with her best friends and made some new ones along the way.

“I just believe the YMCA is the perfect place to nurture the community and family,” said Emily.

Having started her own family now, Emily has decided she wants the YMCA of the Foothills to be an integral part of it. Her son is enrolled at the YMCA of the Foothills Learning Tree Preschool and is being equipped with valuable life skills that will help him grow and succeed. He loves the school and Emily is satisfied knowing that the Y will be there when they need it.

The YMCA of the Foothills is focused not only on members’ physical health, but also their emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Y-L.I.V.E., a live-streamed sermon from the Y’s chaplain Cameron Rose, takes place once a month and is posted across the Y’s social media platforms. Cameron is also available for personal guidance to those who need it.

In addition to dozens of invigorating group exercise classes across the three facilities, members can get involved with youth sports, take a Pilates Reformer class, or even swim in one of the Y’s pools. Cutting-edge equipment featuring Technogym and Peloton bikes are available to all members. Certified instructors are also available for personal and small group training sessions. For those on the go, many virtual experiences like on-demand Les Mills classes are available in the YMCA of the Foothills app.

There’s truly something for everyone at the YMCA of the Foothills.
