According to Vince Ramirez, CHP, around 11 a.m. on Monday a driver of a vehicle traveling westbound on Foothill Boulevard near Pennsylvania Avenue for some reason lost control of the vehicle, hit a median and did major damage to the vehicle and to the Welcome to La Crescenta sign just east of Pennsylvania.

No injuries were reported; traffic was slowed for a while but, as of 12:30 p.m., traffic flow had returned to normal.
