Dec. 10

4400 block of Cloud Avenue in La Crescenta, tow trucks were broken into and several items were stolen from a business. Surveillance footage showed a white pickup truck park along the east side of Cloud Avenue. It also showed a man carrying objects from a tow truck to the pickup truck. A woman got out of the pickup and helped the man place the items in the truck. They moved to another tow truck and took items from that vehicle as well. Deputies also discovered that a couple matching the description of those who stole the items from the truck went to the nearby 7-Eleven, fueled his vehicle while the woman entered the store and purchased a beverage. She returned to the pickup and it drove away.
The incident occurred at 3:55 a.m.

 

Dec. 9
1000 block of White Deer Drive in La Cañada, tools were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

1000 block of White Deer Drive in La Cañada, a global positioning system, sunglasses and a backup camera were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

900 block of Big Briar Way in La Cañada, personal items were stolen from a vehicle overnight.

 

Dec. 6
3900 block of Park Place in Montrose, a window screen had been removed from a bedroom window and prescription medication was stolen from a home overnight while the resident was out of the home.

 

4200 block of Beulah Drive in La Cañada, a fire insurance inspector had just finished his final walk around a home when he heard noises coming from the rear of the yard. He also heard an alarm activate. The inspector reported seeing two men described as Hispanics wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts running from the residence. They entered a vehicle described as a white four-door, Mazda 3 with paper plates.
The attempted burglary occurred between 11:23 a.m. and 11:26 a.m.
