Weather in the Foothills

Sue Kilpatrick is “under the weather” and  recovering from a bout of the flu. We expect her back on page 2 next week.

Note that a Red Flag Warning remains in effect from 4 a.m. today, Thursday, to 10 a.m. on Friday. The warning is for gusty north to northeast winds and low relative humidity for the San Fernando Valley. Winds will range from 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Note that a Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions will be occurring shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

According to weather.com, below is the forecast for La Crescenta for the next five days.
