YOUTH NOTES

Winter Concert and Dine-Out
The winter concert performed by the Crescenta Valley Instrumental Music Dept. is being held on Friday, Dec. 8 at the Crescenta Valley High School MacDonald Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults; students are $5.
The grand finale – and perhaps the only departure from holiday-themed music – is the annual last performance by the Crescenta Valley marching Falcons and color guard as it closes the season with an indoor stage performance of its field show. This show not only garnered the CV marching Falcons and color guard various top honors throughout the 2017 California band championship competition, it placed it in the grand championship where it placed higher than ever in its history.
MacDonald Auditorium, 4400 Ramsdell Ave., La Crescenta
Then on Tuesday, Dec. 12, there will be a dine-out fundraiser for the CVIM at New Moon in Montrose. The restaurant will donate 15% of all proceeds from orders taken with the flyer (found on the CV Weekly website) to the CV High School musicians.
This dine-out fundraiser will run all day and applies to dine in or take out (but does not apply to delivery orders).
