UPDATE:

The man, who jumped from the Ocean View Boulevard overpass and was transported to Huntington Hospital passed away in the early morning hours of Dec. 3. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has not released the name or any information pending family notification.

UPDATE 7:38 p.m.

This afternoon around 4 p.m., CV sheriffs received a call from a passerby stating that they had witnessed someone jump from the 210 Freeway overpass at Ocean Boulevard. Deputies responded and found the male victim bleeding on the emergency lane of the Foothill Freeway westbound near the Ocean View onramp.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Earlier reports incorrectly indicated that the victim was deceased. His identity has not been released.

Sheriff’s and CHP are investigating the discovery of a body near the Ocean View underpass of the 210 freeway. The investigation is ongoing.
Both the on and offramps of the 210 freeway at Ocean View Boulevard are closed due to the investigation. Law enforcement does not yet know the cause of death.
