The CV Chamber of Commerce promises a great time for the entire family during its Taste of the Foothills on Dec. 10.
“This year’s Taste of the Foothills offers not only a great selection of our restaurants, but some exciting new ones recently opened as well,” said Jean Maluccio of the CV Chamber of Commerce. “We have added more fun this year with a tribute to the ’40s and ’50s by the CV jazz band and the Prom Plus Club dancers.”
Jessy Shelton of Prom Plus Club said the dancers learned how to swing dance and how to do the cha-cha so visitors can expect a lively atmosphere with a lot of fun and live music. People can also expect to sample cuisine from more than 20 local restaurants such as Blaze Pizza, Kebab Daddy and Tees on the Green. There will be two points of entrance this year, which should make getting into the booths at the marketplace more convenient.
A percentage of ticket sales go to participating schools.
“All our local schools will be notified, and when attending, they just need to let us know the name of their school to receive money back for their school,” Maluccio said.
The current construction bins in the parking lot are scheduled to be out of there no later than Dec. 5, in time for the festivities.
Entrance is $20 for adults ages 13 and up and $10 for kids between ages 5 and 12. There is also a senior special for $18. Tickets are available at the chamber office at 3131 Foothill Blvd. ‘D’ in La Crescenta and at the CV Weekly office at 3800 La Crescenta Ave. #101 in La Crescenta.
Taste of the Foothills hours are from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ralphs Shopping Center located on 2629 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta.
