A truck carrying rocks from a debris basin overturned as it was making a turn onto Foothill Boulevard from Boston Avenue scattering rocks onto the west bound lanes of the road at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

“We don’t know if the load [of rocks] shifted but as he made a right turn he went over,” said Glendale Officer Rich Ulrich.

The truck was traveling south on Boston Avenue, which is the normal route for those cleaning debris basins above Foothill Boulevard.

The driver suffered minor scratches and scrapes and was not transported to a hospital, Ulrich said.

Both lanes of southbound Foothill Boulevard were closed as a tractor cleaned the debris.

The accident is still under investigation.
