Fatal Train Accident in Glendale

Just before noon today, Monday, Nov. 21, Glendale police and fire departments responded to a call concerning a pedestrian that was struck by a train at Doran Street and San Fernando Road in Glendale.

“Officers found a deceased [adult] male,” said Sgt. Robert William, Glendale police spokesman.

The man appeared to intentionally walk in the path of the train. GPD is investigating the incident as a suicide.

“According to witnesses and the conductor [the man] approached on foot and ran in front of the train,” William said.

Investigators are waiting on the Los Angeles County coroner to arrive on scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
