A promotion ceremony was held on the afternoon of Nov. 13 for five Glendale police officers who advanced within the department. Moving upward were Sgt. Tigran Topadzhikyan to the rank of police lieutenant; Sgt. John Gilkerson to the rank of police lieutenant; Officer Scott Holmes to the rank of police sergeant; Officer Ernesto Gaxiola to the rank of police sergeant; and Officer Alex Krikorian to the rank of police sergeant.

Glendale Police Chief Ron de Pompa welcomed the officers’ families to the afternoon ceremony and congratulated the recently promoted men after administering the oath.
