Glendale Water & Power is extending its temporary bill relief program ¬– GWP Cares – to Dec. 31 to help mitigate the economic impact that COVID-19 has had on many of its electric residential and business customers.
The GWP Cares program provides eligible customers that meet the program’s guidelines a:
• One-time bill credit of $150 to residential electric customers living in single-family homes.
• One-time bill credit of $80 to residential electric customers living in multi-family housing.
• One-time bill credit of $150 to eligible businesses that are adversely affected by the COVID-19 Stay At Home Order or did not operate in one of the essential services sectors covered in the Governor’s Executive Order N-33-20 for a period of at least four weeks.
• One-time bill credit of $60 to residential low-income customers currently enrolled in GWP’s Senior/Glendale Care low-income discount program. These customers have automatically enrolled in the Cares program and receive the one-time bill credit.
Applicants must apply during the enrollment time period, and will receive the one-time credit on their electric bill if they meet the eligibility criteria. Customers will be enrolled on a first come, first served basis (based upon the date of submittal of a complete application) up to the program budget cap.
