Celebrating Pets at Fair

By Mary O’KEEFE

Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation invites everyone to its Annual Pet Fair on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Crescenta Valley Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be about 30 vendors onsite who specialize in all things pet, from healthcare to portraits. Pet parents will find a variety of helpful items and information.

The Good Dog K9 Training and Services will have an obedience class at the park for a suggested donation of $1 to the Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation. There will also be an agility course for dogs and snake handlers who will make a presentation that includes how to avoid snakes when walking pets on trails. The Pasadena Humane Society will be at the event with dogs to adopt.

Since it is so close to Halloween it would not be a dog party without a dog costume contest. There will be lots of things for humans, too, including a bounce house and raffles.

There will be a free lunch offered for the first 100 people at the event. For those who come later there will be food available to purchase.

CV Park is located at 3901 Dunsmore Ave. For more information, call (818) 249-5940.
