Those who would like to submit an absentee ballot for the Crescenta Valley Town Council election, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., can send a request to the council post office box (Crescenta Valley Town Council, PO Box 8676, La Crescenta, CA 91224) or by hand delivery to the acting election chair. A self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage must be submitted with the request in order to receive an absentee ballot by mail. The ballot must be returned either by mail to the Council’s post office box or to the polling place at St. Luke’s of the Mountains Episcopal Church (Sadler Hall), 2563 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta on the days and during the hours of the election.
Requests for an absentee ballot must be received by the Council on or before Friday, Nov. 1. Only absentee ballots returned that have been requested by mail or hand delivery to the election co-chairs, Sophal Ear and Daniel Kim, will be valid.
To be eligible to vote in the Crescenta Valley Town Council election, one must be a registered voter according to the current Registrar-Recorder’s voters list or must be able to provide proof of registration prior to the election, and must be a resident in the unincorporated area of La Crescenta-Montrose.
