13000 block of Descanso Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded regarding the activation of a burglar alarm. Deputies found several areas had been ransacked and a bathroom window had been shattered. Nothing was reported stolen at the time.
The residential burglary occurred between 3 p.m. and 8:43 p.m.
Oct. 18
2300 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a witness reported that as he was sitting in his parked vehicle across the street from the location he saw a white V8 Dodge Charger with a black spoiler and black stripe on the hood stopped across the street from him. He said that four men, described as Hispanic, all dressed in dark clothing with bandanas covering their faces, exited the vehicle. One suspect, according to the report, pulled out a car jack and placed it on the ground under a Toyota Prius. The witness then heard a loud grinding noise. He exited his vehicle and confronted the suspects. The suspects yelled at the witness and the suspect that was sitting in the Charger brandished a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it towards the ground. The witness immediately went back to his vehicle and called 9-1-1. The suspects then left the area. The catalytic converter on the Prius had been damaged.
The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m.
700 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, the glass on a door of a business was shattered. Nothing appeared to be stolen from the interior of the store.
The burglary occurred overnight.
2800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a driver parked his vehicle and left it at the location overnight. The next morning he found his vehicle was unlocked, the steering column had been damaged, the ignition was punched and the interior had been ransacked.

2300 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 4 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 4 p.m. on Oct. 18.
