Fire in Eagle Rock “Knocked Down”

A brush fire in the 1800 block of West Yosemite Drive in Eagle Rock that began at 1;45 p.m. has been knocked downaccording to Los Angeles City Fire Dept.

The knock down was called 46 minutes after the first call to LAFD. Firefighters took an aggressive stance on the fire including using aerial water drops. Eagle Rock Junior/Senior High students were sheltered in place while the fire was being dealt with by firefighters who guarded the perimeter of the school.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
