The LCF Chamber of Commerce is reporting that a scheme is being perpetrated on  local businesses and help is needed to stop this.

Please alert all employees to the following situation:

Two men are posing as official fire extinguisher inspectors.  One will wait outside while the other enters the business.  They will ask to see and “inspect” the fire extinguisher/s and ask  for a fee to have this service performed.

DO NOT COMPLY!!  Call the CV Sheriff’s Station immediately (818-248-3464) when these guys are there and if they are posing as fireman let the Sheriff’s Department desk personnel know and they will send a unit to your location.

As of Friday, the chamber reports  four businesses in LCF  have been approached; however, the sheriff’s department reports that no one has contacted the station regarding this scam.

Please call the Sheriff’s Department immediately if these individuals are seen.
