4700 block of Briggs Avenue in La Crescenta, two vehicles were vandalized with three tires slashed on one vehicle and two tires slashed on another vehicle. The front window of one vehicle had been damaged as well. The vandalism occurred overnight.
Oct. 11
2000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman was trying on shoes at a store and had briefly left her cellphone on one of the benches as she stepped away. When she returned she discovered her cellphone was gone. The incident occurred at 9:15 p.m.
1100 block of Fordhook Drive in La Cañada, several items were stolen from a vehicle between Oct. 11 at noon and Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.
Oct. 10
600 block of Starlight Crest Drive in La Cañada, a glass door was shattered and items were stolen from a residence between 8:45 p.m. and 11:55 p.m.
Oct. 9
5000 block of Palm Drive in La Cañada, the rear driver’s side window was smashed and several items stolen from a vehicle. Surveillance footage showed a male, Hispanic between 30 to 40 years old, 5’8” to 6’ tall and weighing between 200 and 250 pounds. The suspect backed his light colored cab truck in the parking space next to the victim’s vehicle. Then shattered the victim’s vehicle window, reached into the car and took items. He then drove away. The theft occurred between 7:20 a.m. and 7:50 a.m.
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the front driver’s and rear windows were shattered on a vehicle at 8:53 a.m.
Switzer Falls in Angeles National Forest, person/persons punched a hole in the locking mechanism of a vehicle and stole personal property while the owner was hiking in the Angeles National Forest between 10:31 a.m. and 1:30p.m.
2400 block of Carol Park Place in Montrose, a catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle overnight.
2700 block of Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle overnight.
