Sept. 29

8800 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sunland, after a routine traffic stop deputies discovered a suspect/driver, described as a male white, 25 years old, allegedly in possession of heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine. The suspect was arrested for alleged transportation for sale of controlled substances of methamphetamine and marijuana.

The arrest occurred at 2:15 a.m.

 

 

Sept. 28

2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a person described as a male Hispanic in his 30s, 5’7” tall and weighing about 190 lbs. entered a bank and asked to cash a check. The teller reported the check appeared to have some unusual markings. She spoke to her supervisor; they contacted the person who allegedly wrote the check and found he had no knowledge of a check written on his account in that amount or to the person who was presenting the check. When the teller informed the man he walked out of the bank and left the area.

The incident occurred at 3:40 p.m.

 

3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a woman reported receiving threatening text messages from a former male friend. She reported that she had not spoken with the man for about five years but he continued to text life threatening messages to both her and her husband. The victim feels the man is threatening her because he is angry she got married. She and her husband are concerned for their safety.

The texts have been occurring between June 2018 and Sept. 28, 2020.

 

 

Sept. 26

2900 block of Orange Avenue in La Crescenta, a man reported that he had taken his girlfriend to her family’s home to return some items. He pulled the vehicle into the driveway and waited as the girlfriend exited the vehicle. The girlfriend walked to the front door and her brother came out of the residence from another exit and began yelling at her. The man got out of his vehicle and told his girlfriend to get back into the car. They both got back into the car; the brother banged on the driver’s side window, opened the door and punched the man, then ran away.

The incident occurred at 1:25 p.m.
