Sept. 24
4300 block of Oakwood Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident who was walking in a nearby neighborhood received a photo from her neighbor showing a white newer BMW SUV parked alongside, to the east, of the resident’s vehicle. The neighbor stated she observed someone under the resident’s vehicle.
The resident returned home to find her catalytic converter was stolen from her vehicle. The theft occurred at 7:21 a.m.
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a bicycle was stolen from a bike rack at the location. Two witnesses reported seeing a suspect, described as a White male, about 16 years old, 5”9” tall, weighing 150 lbs. with shaved blond hair and wearing a black tank top and dark colored pants, riding away on the stolen bicycle.
The theft occurred at 6:50 p.m.
Sept. 23
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, two suspects entered a store, got a shopping cart and placed a hamper basket inside the cart. The suspects began to fill the hamper with men’s clothing from clothing racks. They walked toward the front of the store near the alarm sensor exit door.
They left the cart full of clothes and exited the store at 12:28 p.m.
Sept. 22
3100 block of El Caminito Street in La Crescenta, a resident reported seeing a light coming from his neighbor’s house, which he found odd because his neighbor was out of town. He called LASD. Deputies contacted the out of town homeowner. She told the deputies that she gave no one permission to go into her home. Deputies found the front door of the home had been damaged around the lock and it appeared the door had been forced open. Nothing was reported stolen at the time.
The burglary occurred between 5 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 5 p.m. Sept. 23.
2100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, four suspects reportedly walked into a store and went to the purse display. All four then took out what appeared to be wire cutters and attempted to cut the security wires holding the purse display. An employee approached the suspects and told them to stop but the suspects continued to try to cut the wire. Another employee approached them and then called 9-1-1. The suspects continued to attempt to cut the wire then suddenly stopped cutting, dropped the purses on the ground and ran out of the building. They got into a black colored four-door sedan and left he area at 4:30 p.m.
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, three suspects entered a store and began grabbing men’s clothing from clothing racks. They placed the clothing into a store shopping cart and continued to walk around the store. Once the shopping cart was full, they walked toward the front door, took items out of the cart and walked out without attempting to pay for the items at 1:04 p.m.
Sept. 21
1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a window was shattered at a business, several rooms had been ransacked and multiple drawers in the cash register area were open.
The burglary report came in at 2:28 a.m.
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, four suspects entered a store and started randomly grabbing purses from the racks and placing them in their arms. The suspects then walked out of the store without attempting to pay for the items at 9:32 p.m.
