Sept. 23
5900 block of Canyon Side Drive in La Crescenta, a bicycle was stolen from an open garage overnight.

 

4700 block of Lasheart Drive in La Cañada, a Global Positioning System, iPad, prescription glasses, a pocket knife and cellphone charger were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

Sept. 21
2200 block of Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a wallet was stolen from a vehicle. The owner was not certain if the vehicle’s door was locked or unlocked.
The theft occurred between 2:10 a.m. and 2:23 a.m.

 

Sept. 20
800 block of Lynnhaven Lane in La Cañada, a resident left her home and was called by her housekeeper 15 minutes later telling her someone was breaking into her home. She arrived and found glass windowpanes in a back door had been shattered and a window in the rear of the home also shattered. Nothing seemed to be stolen.
The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m.

 

Sept. 17
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, jewelry and cash were stolen and a padlock was damaged on a locker between 10:30 a.m. and noon.

 

1100 block of Sheraton Drive in La Cañada, a resident returned and found the garage door open; she was certain it had been closed when she left home. She found a rug was crumpled near a door and the master bedroom was ransacked. A metal safe was missing.
Deputies believe the suspect/suspects used the rug to drag the safe to the door. The safe contained personal information. The home burglary occurred between 7:50 a.m. and 6:35 p.m.

 

Aug. 20
3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a man reported his vehicle stolen on Aug. 20. On Aug. 21, the Los Angeles Police Dept. contacted him and told him they had found his vehicle in Sylmar. When he received his vehicle he discovered that many of his tools were missing, which he then reported to CV Sheriff’s Station as stolen.
The car was stolen on Aug. 20 between 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
