Sept. 24

1200 block of Homewood Lane in La Cañada, a resident woke to a thumping sound in her backyard. She heard two suspects speaking in her backyard. They soon left the area. There were no signs of attempted burglary.

The incident occurred at 1:45 a.m.

 

Sept. 22

4900 block of Palm Drive in La Cañada, the interior of a vehicle was ransacked and sunglasses were stolen overnight.

 

Sept. 19

4200 block of Mesa Vista Drive in La Cañada, a resident was inside his bedroom when he noticed his dog running in circles in the hallway, which was unusual. A few minutes later he heard a popping noise and from a guest bedroom the sound of glass cracking. The resident found shattered glass on the floor from a sliding glass window. The resident immediately called the sheriff’s department and viewed the surveillance footage at his home. He witnessed four unknown suspects approach the rear sliding glass window. Once the suspects noticed the bedroom light was on they fled the area.

The incident occurred on 8:30 p.m.

 

Sept. 18

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an employee reported that, as she was working inside the store, she witnessed three black adults ranging in age from 20 to 30 years old walk into the store. All three suspects were wearing hoodies that covered a majority of their faces. Suspect 1 used a bat to smash the glass display case in the front of the store that contained high-end purses. The suspects then took numerous purses from the shattered display case and ran out the door of the store at 8:51 p.m.
