Sept.9

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cãnada, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also arrested for being in possession of stolen items.

A patrol officer was flagged down by a witness who reported seeing the suspect steal several items from a store. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect allegedly entering the store and pulling items off the display rack then exiting the building without attempting to pay for the merchandise. As the suspect left the store, the witness continued to watch him until deputies could be told. There were two family members in the vehicle driven by the suspect; however, they had not leave the car during the alleged theft. The stolen items were found in the suspect’s possession as was drugs resembling methamphetamine.

The arrest occurred at 5:25 p.m.

 

Sept. 8

4600 block of Oak Grove Drive in La Cañada, a trunk and miscellaneous horse equipment were stolen from a non-secure storage unit at the location at 12:40 p.m.

5000 block of Briggs Avenue in La Crescenta, children’s clothes and toys were stolen from the front porch of a home after they were delivered by Amazon at 1:28 p.m.

 

Sept. 7

2 Sports Chalet Drive in La Cañada, the driver’s side window was smashed and cash and a car key were stolen between 11 a.m. and 5:20 p.m.

 

Sept. 4

Angeles Crest Highway Mile Marker 50, Angeles National Forest, a purse was stolen and the side rear window of a vehicle was broken between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

 

Sept. 3

3800 block of Park Place in Montrose, a resident reported driving into the parking area at her apartment complex where she witnessed a white, four-door sedan parked at the end of the parking area with its engine running. She noticed a man, described as white with short brown hair and wearing a black jacket, sitting in the driver’s seat of that vehicle. She noticed a second man, described as wearing a baseball cap, white bandana over the lower half of his face and a long sleeve T-shirt, running out from the apartment carport. The second man got into the waiting vehicle. The car then drove away at a high rate of speed. She then found that several carport storage cabinets belonging to residents of the complex were open. After an investigation it was found that several residents were missing items, including hand tools, a table saw and personal information. The incident occurred at 9:30 p.m.

 

Aug. 27

600 block of Houseman Street in La Cañada, cosmetics and jewelry were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
